Keaton is the Founder and Head Roo-Keeper of Kangaroo Ranch, bringing more than a decade of hands-on zoological experience with kangaroos and a lifelong passion for animals. She holds two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Colorado Boulder, with interdisciplinary coursework spanning evolutionary biology, anthropology, linguistics, and the natural sciences.
Her true passion lies at the intersection of animals and people—creating meaningful connections that open the door to conversations about conservation, coexistence, and how we can build a world where both wildlife and human communities thrive. Inspired by Steve Irwin from a young age, Keaton hopes to grow Kangaroo Ranch into an organization that contributes directly to wildlife conservation, including the future pursuit of AZA accreditation and work supporting endangered marsupial species.
