Hop in for a truly unforgettable, exclusive experience with our joeys!
Our Baby Kangaroo Bottle Feeding is the most intimate experience we offer. In a group of six guests, spend 45 minutes with our joeys and Roo-Keepers, with the opportunity to help offer a bottle when it is appropriate for each joey. You’ll learn how kangaroos grow in the pouch, what young joeys need as they develop, and how our team cares for them as individuals. There’s time for questions, photos, and a connection you’ll remember long after your visit.
This experience is all about kangaroo mamas and babies! Our Roo-Keepers will share how joeys grow and develop, what life is like inside the pouch, and what makes kangaroos part of the remarkable group of animals known as marsupials.
Limited availability: Bottle-feeding experiences are offered only when we welcome new joeys to the Kangaroo Ranch family and the experience is right for them.
Read on to learn how we decide when to welcome new joeys, what our lifetime commitment to each kangaroo means, and how guest bottle-feeding helps our joeys practice a care skill they will use throughout their lives.

Bottle feeding is offered only when we have joeys whose needs make the experience appropriate. We welcome new kangaroos only when we can give them the space, veterinary care, and individual attention they will need throughout their lives, so there may be gaps between offerings. When bottle feeding is available, guests can take part in a supervised care routine that helps joeys practice taking a bottle voluntarily—a skill that also helps support their care later in life. We’re grateful to share these moments with you, and each joey’s wellbeing will always guide when and how we offer them.

Bottle feeding is one of the experiences we love sharing with guests. It offers a chance to meet our youngest kangaroos and learn about joey development, daily care, and the work that goes into raising them. It is also an experience we offer only when it fits the needs of the joeys in our care.
Every kangaroo who joins Kangaroo Ranch has a lifelong home with us. Before welcoming a new joey, we consider far more than whether we have room for a bottle-feeding season. We look at the space available at the ranch, the needs of the animals already in our care, our veterinary resources, and the time our team can devote to building a relationship with each individual. A joey’s needs will change as they grow, but our responsibility to them does not end when they outgrow a bottle.
That is why there may be gaps between bottle-feeding experiences. We would love to share them more often, but we will never add animals simply to keep an experience on the calendar. We would rather have a season without bottle feeding than take on more animals than we can care for with the attention and consistency they deserve. Our decisions are built around their entire lives, not a brief stage of childhood.
Every kangaroo in our care has a lifelong home, whether or not they participate in public visits.
We grow carefully, keep groups small, work closely with our veterinary team, and give each kangaroo the choice to join an experience or step away.
